Interchange Illawarra Inc. : CMS Project
Interchange Illawarra Inc. received a joint grant with Interchange Shoalhaven Inc., Hastings District Respite Care Inc. and Riverlink Interchange Inc.
The CMS Project sought the support of Steve Beard, Consultant with Accounting Professionals, to use the business framework model to analyse flexible respite needs under the NDIS. He then made recommendations after examining the CMS market of what would meet provider needs.
Stage 1 Report looked at the NDIS business model and the needs of flexible respite providers in using a CMS system.
Stage 2 Report looked at the criteria Steve analysed when considering vendors and makes a final recommendation on CMS system purchase.
Sunnyfield : IT Solution - Client communication hub
Sunnyfield received funding to develop and implement a robust communication platform known as a ‘Client Communication Hub’ designed to provide clients and families of Sunnyfield with increased choice and information to manage their service.
As a condition of receiving a grant from the NSW Organisation Transition Fund to assist Sunnyfield in building a Communication Hub for clients and carers; Sunnyfield agreed to prepare and make available to the Disability sector Guide to Software Selection and Communications Plan
Royal Institute for Deaf & Blind Children : Specifications Manual for Integrated Client Management System
This Manual can be used to provide a framework for specific which need to be considered in the design stage of a new Client Management system or the redesign of existing systems.
CatholicCare Social Services Hunter-Manning : Person-Centred Client Information Management System Development
CatholicCare Social Services Hunter-Manning (CatholicCare) was funded for their Making Inclusion Happen project. The objectives of this project were Enhanced Person Centred Planning tools and specialist support for the implementation and testing of those tools (including a methodology for outcomes measurement) as a means of evaluating computerised information system options and implementation.

Motor Neurone Disease Association of NSW Inc : Upgrade website to link with the backend of existing database
The Motor Neurone Disease Association used their funding to enhance the capabilities of FlexEquip – their online equipment request website, as well as review the billing capabilities of their current database. Changing NDIA pricing and processes has made this aspect of the project challenging.
New Deal Association : IT Solution - Equipment and promotional materials
New Deal received funding to update out of date equipment and technology.
Assisted Community Living Ltd t/a ACL Disability Services : IT Solution - Enhancement of current intranet capabilities
Assisted Community Living Ltd t/a ACL Disability Services grant funding was used to develop a computer software solution specific to their organisations client and staffing needs.
This software has been able to assist them in streamlining administrational duties specifically invoicing and rostering.
Family Link Care & Support Service Inc : IT Solution - Server and equipment upgrade
Family Link Care & Support Service Inc customised a rostering system to suit the diverse services of the organisation.
To implement this new system they also had to upgrade system hardware.
Manning Valley Respite Care Service Inc : IT Solution - Software to integrate multiple platforms
Manning Valley Respite Care Service Inc purchased and installed an HR module, MYOB link to CMS, online time sheet module.
The aim of the project was to empower frontline staff by providing a flexible and efficient rostering and timesheet system.
ADSSI Limited : IT Solution - Mobile devices for staff
ADSSI Ltd project aim was to mobilise their workforce to create more streamlined and efficient service delivery.
Research, done by their organisation, identified that Microsoft Surface Pro device provided the functionality to meet their organisations needs as well as being a user friendly device.
This project has increased the productivity and efficiency of their workforce and has contributed to a more flexible and responsive service.
South Coast Home Modification and Maintenance Service Ltd : Technology for live streaming assessments
A sound-proofed tele-OTEM room, and equipment, has been established at South Coast Home Modification and Maintenance Service Ltd head office. It is being trialled by in-house builders and OTs working on regional minor modification assessments.
A reference manual for using the system and associated procedures is under development but cannot be completed until more trials have taken place in rural and remote areas.
The system works in areas receiving good phone/internet coverage but needs to be trialled in more remote areas to reach the originally identified target group.
New Lake Peer Support Inc : IT Solution - Mobilise custom solution via multiple devices
New Lake Peer Support Inc. received funding to hire developer to assist with the customisation of FileMaker Pro 13 database solution and to mobilise this solution via multiple devices and operating systems.
Hardware was also purchased to enable staff to remotely access the database solution.
Lane Cove & North Side Community Services : IT Solution - Laptops and software
Lane Cove & North Side Community Services purchased laptops to assist in increasing staff productivity in the field and providing person-centred client interaction through internet research for disability recreation activities.
Junee Community Centre Inc : IT Solution - Information management
The project enabled Junee Community Centre Inc. to purchase a subscription to SupportAbility client management system, and assisted with cost relating to set up.
Windgap Foundation Ltd : IT Solutions - Laptops and tablets
Windgap Foundation project objectives were to purchase laptops and tablets for their staff enabling them to enter client data in consultation with the individual they are supporting.
These devices have been configured with the organisations Client Management System and staff have been trained up to better and more accurately share and utilise information.
Fairhaven Services Ltd : IT Solutions - Server and smartphones
Fairhaven Services Ltd. purchased and installed a computer server to improve connectivity between head office and staff supporting clients.
Smartphones were purchased to assist staff in the collection of client data.
3Bridges Community Inc : Communications Upgrade
3Bridges Community Inc. purchased a unified communication system enabling staff, clients and volunteers to communicate more effectively and efficiently.
